Introduction
A Google account audit is the process of evaluating the effectiveness of a client’s Google Analytics and Google Search Console account. Whether we’ve inherited an existing account or created ones from scratch, it’s important to take a step back and review the account as a whole to make sure there are no problems.
An audit can reveal painful hidden issues that need to be addressed. Once we’ve identified these issues, we can get to work improving the overall health and performance of their account.

INSTRUCTION
- We first run through various automated tools that provide algorithmic-based audit results and grades for the client’s account.
Note: These tools are only the first phase of the audit as they lack the context of our marketing goals, audience, and unique desired outcomes of our SEO efforts. - We then run a manual check to determine what shape the account is in and what areas we can prioritize. We focus on the basic structural aspects in the account first, and then work to more advanced topics once the basics are covered.
- Assemble results into an action plan so that any account or campaign updates can be addressed during the implementation phase.
Note: If we uncover something highly critical, then this may be resolved immediately.
